RBF Board of Directors Appoints Rick Rubin and Paul Klein as Executive Vice Presidents

RBF Consulting announced the promotion of Rick Rubin and Paul Klein as Executive Vice Presidents to serve on the company's Executive Committee, beginning on January 1, 2010. These appointments mark the first expansion of the privately-held company's Executive Committee in over 18 years. The appointments of Mr. Rubin and Mr. Klein will bring the Executive Committee of RBF to eight members, geographically broadening RBF Consulting's top-level leadership and underscoring the firm's sustained 65-years of success.

Both of our new executives are accomplished speakers, writers and leaders in their fields with experience in hundreds of high-profile engineering and planning projects.”

Rick Rubin joined RBF Consulting over 28 years ago and currently serves as Office Manager for RBF Consulting's San Diego office. Mr. Rubin has helped expand the Firm's San Diego region presence and served as both Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager on a variety of high profile private and government projects. He is both a Licensed Civil Engineer and Certified Land Planner, as well as a LEED Accredited Professional, and has led the growth of RBF Consulting's military projects, according to Co-CEO, Bob Kallenbaugh. Rick has served as a member of the company's Corporate Management Committee for the last ten years, lending his technical experience along with leadership knowledge to both the Firm and its clients. Rick serves as a board member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)-San Diego Post, a member of the SAME Mentoring and Trust Board where he, oversees the annual scholarship program and is a Past-President of ACEC of California, San Diego.

Paul Klein also serves as Office Manager overseeing the Sacramento office. Mr. Klein began his career at RBF Consulting over 21 years ago directly after graduating from college. According to Co-CEO, Jim McDonald, Paul's experience and success throughout several RBF offices and expertise in Water Resources, provided him the excellent background for this role. As a Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager on all types of projects, Mr. Klein has been responsible for coordinating and directing the work of multidisciplinary project teams that include in-house staff and multiple outside sub consultants. His vision and leadership will serve to enhance the RBF Executive Committee and bring further success to the firm and its clients.

This announcement will be followed by the promotion of eight new Vice Presidents for the firm. RBF Consulting's promotion of these experts is a key component of the company's vision, commitment to successfully address the challenges of their clients and mission of sustaining the future.
