South Coast Air Quality Management District
As the agency for air quality in Southern California, the AQMD collects
data on current air quality, provides forecasts and analyzes trends in
levels of pollutants. In addition, AQMD staff model and provide models
for specific project and subregions.
Current data is available in several different ways and is located on the AQMD
Web Site at www.aqmd.gov. The
current hourly data is available in text form and by using a clickable map located
on their web site. An animated map showing either ozone levels (May-October)
or Particulate Matter is also available. Look at the "Current Air Quality Readings"
page and the "Animated Air Quality Map" page for this data.
The "Daily Air Quality Forecast" page will show the current forecast,
which is updated on a daily basis.
Air Quality data, trend and studies are available via the Air Quality
Data page. In addition, the California Air Resources Board has current and historic data.
If you are a consultant, click on the link to Meteorological data,
which leads to data for your modeling.
