Waste Discharge Requirements General Order No. R5-2007-0035

On May 3, 2007 the California Environmental Protection Agency – Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board adopted Waste Discharge Requirements General Order No. R5-2007-0035 requiring existing Milk Cow Dairies to prepare Reports and Plans for their facility to meet the waste discharge requirements. Click here for a pdf of the requirements and schedule.

As part of its Agricultural Services, RBF is available to assist Dairy producers to comply with the California Regional Water Quality Control Board’s General Order requiring the preparation of a Waste Management Plan for their facility. RBF’s engineers are dedicated to help meet the requirements with licensed engineers that can evaluate the facility, determine the amount of storm water and waste water produced, and verify the adequacy of existing ponds. We are committed to working with the producers to find cost effective and simplified ways to deal with deficiencies when they show up.

Services we provide:

• Waste Management Plans
• Pond/Basin Storage Volume Verification
• Flood Protection Reports
• Operation and Maintenance Plans
• Pond/Basin Planning, Design and Construction Management
• Nutrient Management Plans (in affiliation with Lee Waddle of Finn Gleann Environmental Consulting)
